Franklin Roosevelt Long affectionately known as "Rosey" departed this life on February 2, 2022. He was born to Roosevelt Long and Marie Thompson on March 16, 1987, in Hackensack NJ. He was educated in the Hackensack School District and was pursing his degree from Montclair State University. He was independent consultant, and was also employed by Legacy bookstore in Lebanon, NJ. He was an avidly passionate gamer and "Youtuber" under the handle of Mr. "Entrepreneurial".

In 2012, he met and later married his bride Lisa Forbes affectionately called by Franklin as "Lis" on March 4, 2017 and they began to build their lives together. In September of 2018, they welcomed their first child together Jace Roosevelt Long, and just a few weeks prior to his passing they welcome a "7lbs 4 oz" bundle of love their second son Noah-Liam Long. He was able to meet and bond with his newborn son before his departure on February 2, 2022.

His wife paid this tribute to him. Franklin was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, he opened his heart to many over the years. He devoted and loving father who enjoyed adventures, hard games, and preparing meals with his family.

Franklin was preceded in death by his father, Roosevelt, and his sister Cynthia Banks, both maternal and paternal grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his memory and is survived by his wife Lisa A. Forbes-Long, his stepdaughter Briana Sterling: sons: Jace and Noah-Liam Long all of Easton, PA, Damitrius and Jayden Hester both of Mahwah, NJ and Malachi Thomas of Hackensack, NJ; mother, Marie Thompson Elizabethtown, N.C; siblings; Clarence Thompson, Paterson, NJ, Anthony Thompson "Pete", Lodi. NJ, Yolanda Brosks (Stanley), East Rutherford, NJ,Janet Scott, Tabor City, NC, and Michelle Gibson (Robert),Winston Salem, NC, aunt, Rena Bell Chatman, Tabor City, NC, uncles Mickey McKeithan, Passaic, NJ and Charles McKeithan (Haddie), Englewod, NJ, great uncle, Richard McKeithan (Frances),Bladenboro, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Franklin was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by his friends, family.

Committal Service will be Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 11:30 am in the Butler Cemetery, Dothan Community, Tabor City, NC.
